DiSarra Family from Villavallelonga

Updated May 19, 2025

The first tree shows the DiSarra children born in Villavallelonga.

A recently uncovered Ellis Island record shows, Leucio DiSarra, the youngest child of Francesco and Cristina emigrated in 1911 leaving wife Genoveffa in Italy. He arrived with seven other immigrants from VVL. The record (see in the DOCUMENTS Ship Manifests section) shows they were all going to Rochester. He was meeting Pasquale Tomasso, his brother-in-law. When did he return to Italy? Was he conscripted into the Italian Army only to die in WWI? Before his death he had two sons: one stayed in VVL and one immigrated to Toronto. See his tree on this page below his shrine in VVL.

The second tree traces Angelina’s maternal line back to her great-great grandparents Leonardo DiCesare and Caterina Bianchi, both born in 1750. Note some documents show Angelina’s birthday in 1884 and others in 1887.
