The Tomassi Family in Sora

This tree shows four generations of Pasquale Tomasso(i)’s ancestors from Sora as far back as 1782. The family for each child of Giovanni Tomassi and Marta Baldasarre is it’s own color.

The next tree for Angelina DiSarra’s ancestors shows how we’re really part of VVL’s Bianchi and DiCesare families back to 1725. However, the DiSarra family originated from Pescosolido, a small commune next to Sora, in the Lazio region.

A family mystery to solve…

Records for Pasquale’s father Antonio shows two marriages: 1880 to Francesca Alonzi and 1884 to Maddelena Francesca Alonzo.

Pasquale’s birth certificate of Sept 1884 clearly shows Francesca as his mother. Did Francesca die?

Maddelena was the mother of Biagio and Enrico who also immigrated from Sora to Rochester. Maddelena’s father was Biagio so the Italian naming tradition remains. Documents for Biagio and Enrico list Antonio as the father.

Yes, Tomassi is a common name in Sora but is this too much of a coincidence?
